By placing an order with us, either in person, by telephone, email or via our website www.hitchindeli.co.uk you agree to be bound by these terms & conditions.

Product description

Products and their packaging may vary slightly from their pictures.  The images of the products on our website are for illustrative purposes only.  The items displayed on our website contain only the  items listed.  Any props used in the photographs are not included, unless expressly stated otherwise.

We may update the content of our website and these terms and conditions from time to time. We do not guarantee that our website, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.  While we endeavour to provide accurate information regarding dietary requirements and allergens, as production process can vary, please refer to the product label and seek independent medical advice if any questions.

Our Contract with You

By placing an order with us either in person, by telephone, email or online, you are entering in to a contract to purchase those items.  We will accept your order by way of email notification.  If for any reason, we cannot fulfil the order, we will suggest substitutions to the same value or refund the difference to the original method of payment.

Your Right to Change Your Mind

If you wish to make a change to any of the products you have ordered, please contact us and we will let you know if the change is possible.  We will advise any changes to the price, timing and supply of your order, and confirm whether you wish to go ahead.

If you wish to cancel your order prior to receipt of notification that it is ready for despatch, we will refund the full amount of the order.

If you wish to cancel your order prior to receipt of notification that it has been despatched, we will refund the full amount of the order, less cost of re-routing the delivery, subject to goods being returned in perfect condition.

Delivery

Please refer to our delivery & returns page for details regarding pricing and fulfilment.

We will endeavour to deliver all products in your order as close to your chosen preferred delivery date as reasonably possible.  If delivery is delayed then we or our courier company will contact you to let you know and we will attempt to minimise the effect of the delay.  If there is a substantial delay you may contact us to request a refund for any products you have paid for and not received.

We cannot be held responsible for damaged or compromised product due to:

  • Delays due to weather or other “force majeure” situations
  • Incorrect addresses
  • Orders sent to recipients who are unavailable to take delivery.
  • Unopened deliveries
  • Any changes you or the recipient may make to the delivery address or date through the third-party courier app.

Returns

We take great pride in the quality and condition of our cheese and it should reach you in the best possible condition. When you receive your order, please open it right away, loosen the wrapping around the cheeses and inspect them.

Your statutory right to withdraw purchases within the 14-day 'cooling-off' period does not apply to perishable items, ie. items with a short shelf-life.  However, if you are not happy with your order, please call and, if possible, email with photos to help us understand the problem, and we will do our best to put it right.

Please report any issues with your order to us by phone or email within 48 hours of your parcel being received.
