July has arrived and the sun’s not just out, it’s out-out! Now is the perfect time to lighten up — your meals, not your cheese obsession. Whether you’re picnicking, patio-dining, or just trying to keep your brie from making a break for it across the table, we’ve got your cheeseboard covered.
This month, it’s all about lush, creamy soft cheeses that love the summer as much as we do. Our recommendations this month:
Pair with Moon’s Green 18-mo air-dried ham and a dollop of peach chutney. Trust us — it’s sunshine on a slice.
We’re heading north this month to bring you a classic dale-style cheese, similar to Wensleydale. Cotherstone is crumbly yet creamy, with a fresh, lemony tang. Crumble it over new potatoes, tuck it into a tart, or let it lift your next ploughman’s to perfection.
Wallace was right, it is a cracking cheese!
It’s the ultimate cheese tasting night, and this time it comes with charcuterie!
Join us as we pair Neal’s Yard Dairy cheeses with Moon’s Green’s finest cured meats, artisan breads and curated accompaniments. All washed down with a flight of hand-picked real ales and wines; we might even crack open the sherry!
🎟️ Get your tickets now. Don’t wait — we will sell out!
There are plenty of festivals to choose from over the coming weeks – no tent required! With the Great British Food Festival just down the road in Knebworth (19–20 July) and – right on our doorstep – The Park Series at the Priory with Ocean Colour Scene and Hitchin’s very own Alex Francis (and you thought I’d mention his brother James Bay the next day) – you’re truly spolied for choice.
But if you’re paralysed with indecision or just not feeling the crowds, why not grab a Little Deli picnic hamper and head to Windmill Hill – it makes a pretty fab stage for a cheese-fuelled sunset.

Still buzzing from our hugely successful collaboration with Crossover Blendery, we’re teaming up again with our friends at Lannock Farm for another epic evening. Six handpicked cheeses paired with six gorgeous beers, and this time, delicious bread from the brilliant Leavened will join the party.
🎟️ And you can too! Tickets will go live soon — keep an eye on our socials — and we’ll see you there!
Whatever your plans this July — festival frolicking, park picnicking, or a sneaky solo supper—we’ve got the cheese, the chat, and the chilled vibes.

With warm, melty wishes
