Delivery & Returns

Click & Collect Service 

  • Orders will be available to collect during shop opening hours (see below).
  • Orders placed by 11pm will be ready for collection from 12noon the following working day.  ie. orders placed at 10pm on Sunday will be ready for collection on the following Tuesday.
  • Outside of peak trading hours, it may be possible to arrange same day collection – please just give us a call or drop us a line (details below) and we will do our best to help.
  • We will notify you by email when your order is ready to collect.

Delivery Service

  • We despatch orders on Tuesday-Friday for delivery the following working day.
  • Orders placed by 10am will be despatched the same day.  Orders placed after 11am will be despatched the next working day.  ie. an order placed at 10pm on Thursday will be despatched on Friday for delivery on Monday (Standard delivery) or on Saturday (Premium delivery).
  • Please note that, due to using a third-party courier service, the delivery date selected when placing your order cannot be guaranteed.  If your order is for a special occasion, we would advise allowing an additional 1-2 days for your goods to arrive.
  • We will notify you by email when your order is ready to be despatched and a courier tracking reference will be provided.  Once in transit, delivery can be tracked online https://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace. 
  • Due to the perishable nature of our products, alternative delivery instructions –a secure location in a shady covered space or to a friendly neighbour - must be provided in case of no one being at the address to accept delivery.  This is particularly important if you are sending a surprise gift.  We cannot accept responsibility for goods lost or stolen after delivery. 

Delivery Charges

  • Standard delivery: £7.95. Free on orders over £75
  • Premium delivery, before 12noon: £15.00.  Free on orders over £100
  • Delivery is currently only available to addresses in mainland UK.
  • Unfortunately, we are not able to fulfil orders to addresses outside of mainland UK due to the delivery duration and being unable to guarantee perishable products for longer periods.

Delivery Packaging

We want our cheese to arrive in perfect condition, as if we had sold to you in person in our shop.  We are introducing changes to how we package our cheese, but all our packaging is designed to keep the cheese in optimum condition and to minimise our environmental impact.

Just like you wrap up in winter & wear t-shirts in summer, we adapt our packaging depending on the outside temperature.

When it is warm, we use WoolCool liners (100% low grade sheep wool, a natural bi-product of farming, which is biodegradable, compostable and sealed in a recyclable MDPE plastic cover), Opus Bio biodegradable air cushions and ice packs (which melt in transit) to help the cheese stay cool for as long as possible. 

In winter months, when the outside temperatures are cold enough to not require insulation, we only need to use Opus Bio biodegradable air cushions and SizzlePak, a biodegradable shredded paper. 

And just like that annoying bit between seasons when it’s too warm for winter woollies but too cool for summer sandals, you may receive a box packed with Sizzlepack and an icepack while we make the transition from winter to summer wardrobe.

Please rest assured that the cheese is not in transit for an extended time.  All methods have been tested to ensure the cheese arrives at its destination in the best possible condition and the use or not of refrigerated transport or ice packs does not impact on food safety of cheese.  Please refer to our cheese care page for more information on the relationship between temperatures & food safety in cheesemaking.

We know you'll be excited to receive your box, so we probably don't need to tell you to open it straight away, but please do as soon as you can & pop the cheese in the fridge if you're not going to tuck in within the next 1-2 hours.  (But we won't judge you if you do!)

Returns

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns.  However, we want you to be as delighted as we are with our products, so if you have any issues or concerns regarding quality, or if a parcel and its contents arrives damaged, please contact us by phone or email (below) as soon as possible.
