Cacklebean hens – Arlington Whites – are free to roam all day and in all the weathers across the 12 acres of the Cotswold's Cacklebean Farm where welfare of the flock is given the highest priority by Paddy and Steph Bourns.
All year long they are found scratching in the green grass, hassling goats and searching for worms, and indulging in luxurious dust baths on long warm days. But in very cold weather and snow, they have a lovely warm shed to tuck up in safely.
The result of such happy hens are bright orange yolks taking your dippy egg breakfast to the next level. We are so keen on them, we are proud use them in our own scotch eggs.
