The clocks have fallen back, Halloween’s ghosted us, and Bonfire Night is ready to explode
— it can only mean one thing:
🎅 The countdown to Christmas has officially begun at The Little Deli!

The most wonderful (and cheesiest) time of the year is fast approaching — and our Christmas order forms are now available in-store or to download via our website.
Get ahead of the rush and make sure your festive cheeseboard is the envy of every table. 🧀✨

Don’t judge a cheese by it’s rind and leave your cheeseboard to chance.
Join us on one of our festive tasting evenings and sample the entire range of cheese, charcuterie, pâté and other deli delights available this season – all served with a welcome glass of mulled wine to keep things merry.

Bring your friends, bring your tastebuds, leave feeling merry & bright!

After our sold-out Fondue Night on 30 October, we just couldn’t resist…
For the romantics — or the downright cheese-obsessed — we’re offering Couples Fondue Fridays all month (6–9pm). Perfect for date nights, or just an excuse to say “I love you, but I love cheese more.”
Prefer to stay in? Our Fondue Hire Kits let you recreate the magic at home — complete with our signature Little Deli 5-cheese fondue mix and simple heat-and-eat instructions.
🫕 Cosy nights just got cheesier.

Because we’d never leave you short of inspiration…
🧡 OG Goat Gouda (Belgium) – 18-month aged goat’s cheese with a cheeky boozy saltiness — think Parmesan, but more mischievous. Addictive doesn’t cover it.
🌸 Alp Blossom (Bavaria) – A floral, herby showstopper with dried flowers pressed into the rind. Brothy, meaty, and guaranteed to turn heads on any cheeseboard.
💙 Valdeón Picos Blue (Spain) – Wrapped in sycamore leaves and cave-aged to perfection, this spicy blue packs a salty punch – strictly not for the faint-hearted!
💛 Coolea (Ireland) – A golden Gouda-style delight with nutty, caramel notes and a satisfying crunch of salt crystals. Comfort food in cheese form.
📸 Keep an eye on our socials this month — we’ll be sharing serving and pairing ideas for each of these beauties.

There’s no shortage of things to do between cheese breaks:
Saturday 22 November – The Hitchin Food & Drink Festival by day, followed by JD King’s Elvis Christmas Special at St Mary’s Church in the evening.
Wednesday 12 November – Fancy some spooky fun? Try the Hitchin Ghost Walk.
Friday 21 November – Or feed your imagination with Darkness From Light, a lunchtime talk on the origins of gothic literature at North Herts Museum. We’ll be busy running the shop so do pop in afterwards and tell us all about it!
Make it a month of flavour, fun, and a little festive flair. 🎄
