We are really delighted to have got the keys to The Little but-perfectly-formed Deli. But who are the people with the keys?

Introducing Ian & Jenny Huckstep, proud owners of Appetite Catering Ltd & now The Little Deli !

Ian began his professional career in 2005, training at the Michelin-starred Aubergine restaurant and working on to lead the kitchens of many prestigious & award-winning restaurants throughout London & Hertfordshire.

After moving to Hitchin in 2012, Ian & Jenny established a successful catering firm, working as a team delivering high quality private dining in people’s homes. You may also remember us for amazing afternoon teas and home cooked meals deliveries during 2020-2021.

The Little Deli was founded in 2017 in a tiny shop on Hermitage Road in the heart of Hitchin.  Lovely Lady Louise ran the shop with passion & flair until April 2024, when we took over the reins.   We are keen to build on that lasting legacy, bringing you all of what you love about the Deli and add more besides.  The best British cheese and charcuterie, fresh antipasti and all the interesting & exciting accompaniments the UK has to offer.  And behold!  The return of the mighty Scotch egg, in all its glorious & gluten-free forms!  Kept company by quintessential quiches, perfectly proportioned pork pies and creamy, buttery cheese scones!  Not to mention freshly made pasta & salads.
